Do you intend to keep this furniture in here? It is pretty chunky for the space. I can see the sofa staying, but the chair is overwhelming. Who will sit in here, when, and to do what activities? What do you intend to use the shelves for?

Yes furniture stays- round end table is coming. I gravitate towards cool tones- the wall colors are SW reserved white. my style in the rest of my home is airy/bright/traditional.

This space is a living room area (not family room) but will be used as an extra sitting room. since its in the front of my home I want it to look nice.
