Please help me choose bathroom vanity!

We put this tile in for our kids bathroom... the vanity i bought looked totally different when it arrived... now we need a new one... please make a suggestion! It's the kids bathroom so I wanted it to be a little more playful and less formal, but i still like a clean modern feeling... Im attaching the moodboard, we ended up going with a flat glossy white tile stacked in bath instead of the waved...

i was thinking to do a floating vanity- would white gloss be too white? can i add wood mirror or light fixture to liven it up? Please send links of any suggestions!

I like Gomorgon from Ikea for a nice wall hung with great storage I usually do a wall cleat at the back just to be on the safe side with kids. Not sure your siaze but they come in many and for kids I might just use the Ikea top and sink

Not sure what size you want, but it looked like a lot of drawers would be best. These all come in more colors than the one posted. Wayfair.

do you think the fluting on this one will clash with the busy pattern on the floor?

I think a floating vanity is too modern.

I love the one in your original moos board. The light wood would be lovely! 🤍🤍

asba, that floating vanity from house is too modern looking. and that lighter one is too yellow for that tile floor.

I'd go with a natural white oak or a walnut,

(this one is a good match. and you could do 2 sconces, or the double or triple over mirror light)

and maybe do a woven wood shade, a similar ceiling light like shown here, and one of these colors for the wall.

I'd also bring in some wood shelves over the toilet to warm it up a bit

a soft gold would be pretty with this color

    or even the two tone:

or, pick a white or black vanity.

this one is good. not as dark, but I like the vanity style. I like the vertical paneling detail too

what about something like this w/the matte black top? this is 42"

    Atencio vanity

here's a white floating vanity (looks gray, but it's white) I do like the wainscot around the wall.

I also like this wood vanity. as long as it's not too yellow, it should work. or do a vanity w/legs so you can still see the flooring

some other floating vanities w/the grayish wood to match your floors

BTW, who was the lazy tile installer that couldn't be bothered to center your niche within a full tile instead of having asymmetrical cut tiles all around it??

he could have easily placed it within this full tile

here's one example. (yes these tiles are larger, but same idea. the tiler used the tile edges as border

Your floor tile pattern is unusual and difficult to see where the repeat is. If your vanity sits on the floor it will cover more of the floor be even harder to see and make the tiles look like they were randomly or mistakenly placed. For this reason, I vote floating vanity in a painted soft white color.

As the floor is quite patterned, I suggest a floating white vanity with a taupe/brown counter to bring it all together. Keep the vanity super simple[ Ikea has very reasonable vanities], so as not to compete with the floor. Have fun with the handles, towels & mirror. These are less expensive items that are easy to change. Rock "hooks"[ etsy], would be fun for towels which could be in fun patterns or colours ; taupe/brown + accent colours.

I think this will be a super bathroom, grow easily with your son, and not be complicated to finish.

A floating vanity - or one on legs - will make the floor more visible and the pattern more appreciated.

thank you so much everyone for your advice and comments!! This is helpful and I like the point about the floor being visible.... I am leaning towards floating for that reason. I will try to update with pics =)

And Beth you are right, the workers that installed the premade niche were different then the tile guy... we didnt realize till the tile guy came that it was off center...

btw the vanity that was on the moodboard i also liked, i ordered it from wayfair and when it came it looked totally different (old yellow wood color =(... had to pay to ship it back, waa....)

Anyways is there a color of this vanity that you think would look good? if we choose a vanity from this company that would be amazing because we get a wholesale price from them... https://www.duravit.us/products/all_series/l-cube.us-en.html?product=2153538

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the bathroom vanity. Based on your description, I have found a suitable option for you. It is a parallel symmetrical design with glass lampshades, which would complement the playful yet modern ambiance you are aiming for in your kids’ bathroom. It not only adds a decorative element but also provides practical lighting for grooming purposes.

I hope this suggestion meets your expectations. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please feel free to contact me.
