It does look good as a dining space. Is the room wider than long? Asking because the end chairs look cramped for space to pull out & sit down, Wondering if table can fit the width of room. The rug seems too small - The chairs should be fully on the rug when pulled out & a person sitting in them - maybe consider sizing up. Since this room can be seen from entry I would have a larger, more detailed center piece on table top. Are you considering window treatment?

Yes. The table could be positioned to fit the width of the room without entering the entry hallway, and this new position would provide more space for the end chair seats as well as those closer to the mirrored wall. I am open to upsizing the rug and getting a larger, more detailed table centerpiece. I also plan to get window treatments. Thanks for your great suggestions!

Since the table can be turned, it also seems that position would open up space on the window & wall opposite side. If that’s the case, maybe a long console cabinet on that wall would look good. It could provide great storage for board games, placemats, things like that used at the table.

The table's coordinating console is in our family room behind a sofa and directly facing the entry hallway. Although the console won't comfortably fit in the dining area, it's still fairly close to the dining table for storage,
