Are the pictures from before the painting? I'd like to see the after. I certainly can't imagine any shade of gold fixtures going with what's shown. Since it sounds like the floor is staying, regardless of paint colors I have reservations about gold. Just because it is a popular finish right now that doesn't mean it's right for your space. The faucets and pulls you have don't look bad - do the faucets function, or are they broken or leaking? I would sooner do something about the mirror and light fixtures.

We are going to frame the mirror. But we can’t remove it at this time. It’s funny, in another design/decorators group, everyone said do gold! Lol. This is an “after” painting walls and trim picture. Vanities have since been repainted but they are basically the same color, but less yellow. Thanks for your response and opinion!

The granite is pink salmon, so leans warm which I think is why gold has been suggested.

I think all the gold will be the thing most dated shortly but usually trying to match from different makers is always hit or miss IMO keep what you had and add some nice wallpaper or art and new lighting .

Buy gold cabinet hardware that is easily returnable. Try them out on your vanity, so you can get a feel for it. You will know right away if this is the look you want.

Njmomma thanks for responding! I do have knobs in honey bronze that I like. Then I got the towel bar, toilet paper holder etc in Delta champagne bronze and I am torn on whether or not it is too drab. It is a very silvery and brown and I am torn if I want something brighter.

On my screen, the floor looks gray and walls look pink. If that is true in real life, I would not be throwing yellow toned metals into the mix.

What I would do is replace the vanity top and use rectangular sinks. Also, since the vanity was to be painted, I would have used that opportunity to switch from knobs to pulls, especially on the drawers. (which you can still do but will need to use backplates with pulls on the drawers.)

Sorry to be a downer, but gold is not your best option with the paint color. I like the finish you have now better.

Thanks everyone. So the paint is BM Pristine…it is actually more peach than pink. I am attaching better photos of the tile (more beige than gray), granite, pulls and a Delta champagne bronze hook next to the granite.

I know it’s really tough to try to update when dealing with very outdated features, but here we are! We cannot afford to replace the vanity or anything else at this point. Just lighting, faucets, accessories and maybe frame out the mirror.

I’ve found more matches since this is a hot topic for so many. We’re using delta champagne bronze bath fixtures in our new build but Kohler vibrant brushed bronze is a match .The links are for Amazon for easy shopping but you can get an idea of the manufacturer that way too.
