Please not the Acadian green it is not IMO a great kitchen color in fact I would not put it anywhere. This one of my faves from BM it is a bit on the gray undertone spectrum but so lovely and neutral and for the cabinets full strnegth but when I do it on walls I cut 25-50%

MY thoughts on kitchen colors to advise would be with pitures of the space posted here in comments DO NOT start another post .

We are using Nature Lover (Benjamin Moore CC726) on our lower cabinets but we face east so very different. Benjamin Moore says it's a medium green with warm undertones.

I see all your little paint samples taped up. I find it very difficult to get much of an idea from the small chips, especially when they're on top of a color that won't be staying. I'd recommend, once you can narrow it down to a few, painting some large foam boards or poster boards each with a separate color and viewing those at different times of day. It's worth the small investment in sample or quart sizes of the paint.

Are you doing the painting yourself? If so, taking all the right steps for prep will be important. Whether it's you or a pro doing the painting, be sure to choose the right paint for cabinets. (BM makes one called Cabinet Coat. I've never used it but I'm hoping others here can chime in.)

Chicagons, that is a wonderful idea! I will definitely paint a large poster board! The woman at the paint store was a professional painter and she recommended BM Advance, which is made for cabinets. (sometimes paint companies label things differently in various countries. I am Canadian) There is also a BM Advance "How to paint cabinets" video. I'm also watching You Tube videos. Thanks again for your suggestion!

Don't get hung up on the name of the color. Just pick a green that you like in your space.

You're right about that! The problem is finding a colour that I really like, putting it up, and it seems to be a different colour, lol.

SW Green Glimpse is a fresh green that would be great in low north light.

the BM Acadia Green that you seem drawn to is very Dr.s office. no sage at all.

the color BM Nature Lover suggested above seems too dark, but the right direction

BM Pale Sea mist would be nice in low north light.

Thanks for the suggestions, Lyn. Sherwin Williams has more colours and shades of green that speak to me, but the closest SW is a 4 hour drive away. Pale Sea Mist looks nice. I'm back to the paint store today!

Just throwing it out there - my favorite green-gray from BM is Castle Walls. I really want it to work in my home but can't find a place for it. It gets lumped in with the grays but seems to read green in most situations.

Lyn Nielson, your suggestions sent me into a different direction of green from sage. I researched colours similar to pale sea mist, which lead me to BM Soothing Green 535, Sienna Laurel, 536, and Van Alen Green HC-120. I'm thinking it's going to be one of these 3 colours. I'll take Chicagon's suggestion and purchase larger samples, to paint poster board, and then decide from there. Houzz discussions are very helpful! Thanks for all of the suggestions!

MY suggestion always is make sure your lighting is right before choosing any paint color in a N facing space I always use LED 4000K it mimics daylight and keeps colors true all through the day and night . Then the poster board is a great way to test but you need one for each color you are testing

Instead of painting your own samples, you can order samples from Samplize.com

Tiny samples of muted or more neutral colors tend to appear less colorful when we look at small samples.

Patricia Colwell's advise is always good and in this case is spot on. Make sure your lighting works well and there is plenty of it. Interior lighting always has an effect on how paint colors are perceived.

The Samplize product turned out to be most economical for me. My local paint stores did not sell “ small samples” of paint & typically charged ~ $20 for a qt or so, compared to $5 for the Samplize sheets ( probably more now, but still). And no mess, & can stick on cabinet or walls.
