Left vanity is mine.

And the mirrors are only temporary- needed some immediately for practicality’s sake.

I would add the sconces.

Here are some options:

1. get two sconces + one light fixture that works for over the mirror that are the same (or very similar) design. Use the sconces on the sides of the mirror by your vanity and use the one for over the mirror for your husband’s.

2. Have custom mirrors made (simple beveled edge - not very expenses) - have the one for his vanity be made in a narrower size - use four matching sconces (two for each vanity) that have a slimmer base + overall design so that they work on the sides of the mirror for each vanity.

3. Have mirrors that fill the entire space over the vanities + mount sconces on the mirrors. This will give you more room for two sconces by your husband’s vanity.

My mind likes symmetrical things also - so, I understand your dilemma about wanting them to match. However, I think that the vanities are far enough away from each other + separated visually by your freestanding tub that you could do the two sconces on the sides of your mirror and use a coordinating one for over the top of his.

What type of sconces do you like? There are many styles that can be mounted either vertically (on the sides of the mirror) or horizontally (over the mirror) = you could use three of the same light fixtures. If you did three of the same ones + the same mirrors, I think that it would look nice even though the two areas don’t match exactly.
