Other than keeping tile that’s close but doesn’t match or tearing everything out and starting over what suggestions are you looking for?

Ty Replacing everything isn’t an option. I guess I’m just looking for ideas on what we can place there. I’ve thought of maybe using a decorative tile in place but idk how that look.

Is there a closet, pantry or inauspious room you could attempt to take some tile from? Of course installed correctly you will most likely never get the tile up in one piece.

if this is the only area???? and cabinets will be placed there?? I'd paint to get a close match...rustoleum has floor covering and I bet you can get it tinted. the sheen may be slightly off but you can get very close . Ive used rustoleum paints...impressed !! if you can get close to the color you will have the shapes and edges and everything the same if you work with the tiles you have as opposed to looking for a new/ different tile to feather in......that would not interest me. Isnt the row against the wall going to be covered with cabs? or what , exactly????

I asked them if they can do that type of work and they said the tiles can break.
I would probably need to find a professional tile remover or someone who knows how to do that work.

Yes the cabinets will go over that area but about 2 inches will still be exposed and there’s a counter that comes out in the first four tiles those tiles will be more exposed.

Why don't you go and try to find one box of tiles which match better to your tile? You would need to replace 2 tiles, right?

^^^ true, but we are talking here about 2 tiles. They don't have to be perfect just better what is currently. I don't think painting is going to look good and who knows if it's not going to peel in the future and then what are you going to do with that? Does OP know what is the manufacturer of the old tile and the name? I might call manufacturer or the store they purchased tiles before. Sometimes have floor samples.

use rustoleum series for floor and then comment. two tiles that stand out w edge/height change will be a constant nuisance. if she can find your described suggestion of a tile to insert that doesnt stand out then I'm sure she will.

^^^ are you trying to tell me that the painted tile is going to match to unpainted tile well and it's not going to look obvious next to it? How is she going to achieve similar sheen like other tiles?
