Gotcha, and yes thats the kind of grout I have, its a good quality grout that says it doesnt need to be sealed, but that it can be sealed if you would like, but you dont need to.

I have heard that even with a grout you dont have to seal you should still do it for extra protection. Wondering if the majority of people still say to always seal or no.

I would recommend that you seal it. And do it every 5 years or so. The water is getting into the pores of the grougrout and can lead to black mold. Sealing the grout will help keep moisture out and

Water still passes thru grout, sealed or unsealed, it is not nor was ever intended to be waterproof. It is not waterproof, hence the reason a pan is installed underneath a tile shower floor. Sealing is to help slow down the adsorption of stains.
