Main Floor Layout

Looking for ideas on how to make the current laundry the main entrance instead. Relocating the laundry somewhere else on the main floor. Also looking to renovate kitchen, living and powder rooms. So basically, redraw the main floor layout. Creative solutions welcome.

You can not post a partial first floor.

You have to provide more info

What does the front of the house look like, that the laundry entrance would make sense or look good?

Post right side up. State the goal. .......nobody can create you a new home from what you have provided, and I will tell you right now, you probably need an architect to totally reinvent the house.

Nobody on earth, can do it from this

Yes to all Jan stated. I have no idea even where your current front door is . Most measurements are not readble and yes you will need an architect .

You don't need to know exactly what you want to do before going to an architect. Try to schedule an appointment now. The good ones may be booked up for months. You want to go to them with the problems you want to solve. It's their job to solve the problems at the lowest cost possible. Be prepared to state what your budget is. All things are possible given enough money, but don't lose track of how financially sensible your project will be. Even if you think you will be in the house for a long time, sometimes people's plans change unexpectedly and you don't want to lose money when you sell.

All you need to know when you get an architect? What you NEED. That's it. add what would be nice, and what would be totally great, but you can live without.

Make a list. because it is all you really need.

The rest, initially, is the job of the arch - based on a budget, and the site......

The interior is a marriage of exterior and interior and your site. Along with the bank : )

The front door is located at the top of the current drawings. The side garage man door is on the side of the house but it is the only entrance anyone uses, including all company. So, they have to go through the garage and the laundry room before entering the kitchen. For privacy reasons, I won't post the entire floor plan. The full basement is unfinished and the joists are open, therefore, amenable to any plumbing/electrical/structural changes. All of the weight is carried by the exterior walls. Hope this extra info helps. Just looking for ideas, not a formal plan. That, we will need to hire an architect for.

So...........you answered your own question. What you need can not be had, here.

Matters not how much text you add to your post. Sorry, call an architect. For the "ideas" and a plan.
