Early blooms 2024

Some of my daffodils are blooming now, many are developing buds. After seeing Mantis‘s photos I realized some anemone found the way to my garden last season….no guess from where.

I am guessing these daffodils have been in my garden for over 15 years. They had peach centers and are now yellow, mother nature at work.

The newest addition will be here in two weeks, this is Charlie.

That's a beautiful double white hellebore, with an appealing green throat. How old is Charlie?

Charlie is so adorable! I love the hellebore. Mine is a dark one and doesn't make as much impact in the garden. I love the daffodils. We have quite a few blooming here now too.

Here is a photo of our hellebore. Please pardon my hand but I can't take a photo of the face of the flower without turning it upward.

Here are a few daffodils blooming out front of the house. I believe it is the variety Jetfire.

The iris reticulata are finished for the year, but they were quite nice.

Charlie is six weeks old now. We bring him home at 8 weeks, AKC regulations say a puppy needs to be weaned and 8 weeks old. We lost 3 dogs the past 2 1/2 years, the last one in December. The dog we have now is used to being in a pack, she misses her brother.

I probably should know, but what breed is Charlie? He has quite the adorable puppy mug. I'm sorry you lost so many companions in the last few years. What fun you will have training a new puppy though............I really like all your winter bulbs. The double Hellebores are especially nice. I have one Hellebore, but I seldom think to look at it. I'll get out there tomorrow to see if it's blooming now that I've seen yours.........Maryl
