I don’t think that’s the problem here. The tv and cabinet look too small for this wall. I’d get a longer lower cabinet and a much bigger tv. Width of tv should be about 2/3 the width of cab. Mount the tv fairly low to the cab so there’s not the awkward gap that you’re right now trying to fill with the framed pictures. Get rid of the lamps and everything else lined up against the wall. Remove all the tiny frames from everywhere including the fireplace. It just looks like clutter.

Next thing I’d tackle is the paint color, which isn’t really complimenting the furniture. And then something more substantial in the niche to the right of the hall door.

Pictures in daylight and of all four sides of the room would get you more help.

I have a similar issue with my living room and I hate it but I don’t know what to do about it
i’m ready to purchase a new furniture paint do whatever I’m just kind of stuck

Robin you should start your own thread. Include a floor plan of the room, because it looks like there might be a better layout and you need to solve that before decorating the wall.

You actually don't need anything on the wall where the TV is. You could look at doing a tall plant on one side of the console and a chair with a floor lamp on the other.
