Was the structural reinforcements to the home, and the path into the home, completed? You may need to tear off the roof and have a crane set it. But only if there is s proper foundation under it.

In our area the designers have access to the best people (the best trade pros often don’t want deal with homeowners and the designer brings repeat business as opposed to a one off HO) so it could be good option to have a designer help you with the bath (and tub)

It is the first story and to an exterior wall that will get a large window so that is opened up and ready

Stone is pretty porous. How do you plan to counteract that?

That's a trend that I hope doesn't take off.

Besides the cost and logistics of supporting it, getting it installed, etc. there's the issue of the thermal mass. You would have to fill that with very hot water for it to still be warm after heating the tub.

I don't see how you get that into the space without forking it - which would call for a completely open wall down to the floor. I'd bail on that project also.
