As you can see, Denise is enormous, LAK lanky, and IHT the runt of the litter. I’ve potted them up. Now I just to think of a place to put them… although I think they will stay in pots for at least a year.

Paul, you’re spot on. I have almost no space, so I select roses carefully. The HTs are almost all gone, because I want to grow (mostly) old roses. I wonder if that category includes “Renae.😆

I just received an order from Burlington too! Cinderella and Cafe Ole. I’m gonna try them in pumpkins-for fall and then I’ll plop em in the ground

Steelers, what a great idea! Do you hollow out the pumpkin, cut holes, fill with soil, plant? And how big are those pumpkins?

This will be my first time trying the mini Cinderella in pumpkins. I am growing some blues and really bumpy ones for fall. I’m going to hollow some out, plant a Cinderella and Cafe Ole in them and then decorate my front porch.

Since I’ve never done this before I’m going to plant one each, in a pumpkin and then plant it in the ground and see if the pumpkin will give it extra nutrients as it decomposes.

I was lucky enough to get multiple cuttings since it came from Burling and the extra’s I will treat normally so regardless of how the pumpkin ones turn out I will still have a rose bush.

i was potting up my burlington roses order into 1 gallons today and i was happy to find that each band pot had 2 rooted roses inside. my hippolyte had 3! it was a great surprise to find.

Update on these roses: I have only Denise Cassegrain left. Lady Ann Kidwell threw out some gorgeous bloom but died young, not sure why. I may try her again sometime. international Herald Tribune never took

International Herald Tribune never took hold—died within three weeks. Denise, however, is in a big pot and doing very well. Little white button flowers, lots of them, healthy plant.

I can’t do much with roses these days as I have had two hip surgeries this year and anticipate a third. Currently wheelchair-bound, and I can’t roll onto the grass to get close enough to to the roses to cut or deadhead them. My son has helped
