Well, you can always do what my Dad does - wear a baseball cap at the table to shade his eyes from the glare. He is really tall and lights are always hitting him in the eye.

I think that light is very nice but you do realize the temp of the actual light will make everything in the space yellow. I like light fixtures that I use often to have replaceable bulbs and IMO a DR light needs to light the table not the ceiling and always put on a dimmer for eye comfort. The llight should not be hung where you look into it so I am not sure what you are doing at the table that requires you to look up at the light usually they are hung about 35" from the top of the table not really where peoples eyes go .The ceiling lights are ambiant the dining table light is the star usually in the space and lights the table. We need pics of the space for sure

It's a new construction, so no pics yet.

We saw the RH fixture in a different house and sitting at the table, the light hits the eye. Maybe we can hang it higher in the room.
