Unique Kitchen Lighting Challenge

Richard Ward
last month

In the course of remodeling our kitchen, we need to do something about the light output of our main kitchen lights. We have two 24-inch fluorescent fixtures that take two bulbs each. The face of the fixtures have stained glass on them which absorbs quite a bit of light.

The fluorescent bulbs I am using currently generate 1025 lumens. Are there any LED T12 replacements that are brighter? I’d prefer a Type A replacement so that I don’t have to rewire the fixtures to bypass the ballast.
