This is a lot like asking what's the best vehicle. It depends. If you're into colored sinks, the Elkay Quartz Luxe is hard to beat. I'm not a fireclay fan.

Ruvati stainless steel sinks are nice. I also like Blanco Silgranit. I've not seen the Elkay quartz Luxe that Joe speaks of....but I trust his judgment and will probably order one in for a display soon.

@The Kitchen place - what is your opinion about Elkay 16 gauge steel workstation sink?

I love Oliveri sinks. We had a deep bowl sink by Oliveri in our last house. Currently we a deep bowl sink by Kohler below. We love it the perfect place you can hide dishes or wash a small dog. I love a stainless sink.

I have a Whitehause apron-front fireclay and love it.

I've had cast iron and stainless and like them both, but have also admired copper, soapstone, and other types of sinks as well. So much depends on your preferences, counters, etc. My choice for my current kitchen (remodeled last year) is a single bowl stainless, 16 gauge, with sound dampening coating on the bottom.

The Elkay workstation sink is really nice. Several of my customers have it and love it! Try to do the largest one that you can.

Personally I have a Blanco stainless sink - 20 years now- it looks brand new

@Debbi Washburn any opinion about Blanco Silgranit ?

I ended up with a Kohler Neoroc, which is similar to the Blanco Silgranit that I wanted but was out of stock. I have been very very happy with it and it still looks brand new 3 1/2 years later…

I've installed 4 sinks from Julien (Home Improvements) in 2 houses and been very happy with them.

I have had customers get the Silgranite sinks - didn't hear back except for one. The one who had trouble had a gray color and had lots of problems with staining on it which I found very strange. They did let her return it and get a different color which seems to be just fine ( I think she got the black one ) .

Blanco silgranite. Almost 9 years strong and still looks great.
