My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Beautiful deck. Is the deck skirt also ipe?

Lovely deck.
Is the deck skirt also ipe, or is that cedar? (We just built an ipe deck with cedar deck skirt and can't seem to get the stain right on the skirt... am wondering if we need to change it to ipe.)

    It's a hard, exotic wood originating from countries in Central and South America. It stays cool because it doesn't absorb heat and it's insect and scratch resistant. In addition to those things, it hold up well even with heavy use.
