Expensive operable hinged shutters with authentic character or our fiberglass shutters placed flat on house beside window molding?
We just resided our colonial home with James Hardy board and have the opportunity to replace our shutters. No houses in our area have the hinged shutters but they are pretty but also expensive at about $3000. for 10 windows. Does anyone know how to hinge fiberglass shutters that don't have a flat back for a less expensive option? Is it worth the price to go with the expensive cedar louvered hinged shutters? Any input would be appreciated! Thank you!
