just ordered 2 more roses

Just ordered from David Austin.

Swore I was going to only have a few roses at this house (had 50+ at my last home), but I seem to have a problem resisting the urge to buy. With these two and one on a waiting list from Heirloom I will have 20 bushes.

I got PAoK two years ago from a local rose nursery and she has quickly become one of my favorite DAs with her big old fashioned blooms and they way she ages gracefully to a soft lavender/muave in the vase. She does need afternoon shade in my location (Seattle) or the blooms shrink a lot, I was a bit disappointed the first year until I figured her out.

Me too. Munstead Wood 2 quarts...even though I already have one which is a very slow starter apparently. But I realized Austins are best in 2, for mass appeal. :)

I am so tempted by PAK too...I just hope it's not too disease prone for humid areas.

Ooh nice! I have a gift card to a local nursery and they have Gabriel Oak, Roald Dahl and The Pilgrim. I’m leaning towards getting Gabriel Oak!
