Hi All! I'm north of San Antonio and have some purple coneflowers which are spreading nicely. Every now and then, I'd see -- what's pictured -- growing as an integral part of the coneflowers. Historically, I'd yank them out thinking they were opportunistic weeds because I could not find any pictures/references to their "pipe cleaner" blooms as being part of an Echinacea Purpurea. To be sure, the leaves look exactly like the EP, but the bloom is vexing. Any help identifying this anomaly is appreciated. Thanks.
