Thank you, Nancy. As I said, Dragonfly Tattoo is a new one here and I was very pleased with the bloom. Polka has started blooming long after most of the other roses. (all bur ?Duccess de Brabant).

Polka is a nice warm color. I see that it is a climber and supposed to be hardy in the north. Is it vigorous for you? I don't see the bush picture.

Your pic of Axi Rose looks much better than NGA pics.

Thank you, Mantis. Polka is not what I call exceptionally vigorous but has managed to do pretty well with less care than would be ideal, especially in the last couple of years. It is an "own root" bush so is somewhat renewing. Axl Rose tends to produce identical appearing blooms here. I have had it three years and it is doing well.

Exciting to see the season has begun in earnest. My Dragonfly Tatoo has scaped and budded but still a couple of weeks away from blooms. Gorgeous pic of Axl Rose! And Polka is beautiful.

Thanks, Kate. That Dragonfly Tattoo looks a lot like Lady Dragon, doesn't it? Polka always starts blooming a little later but I like the color and the blooms open to about 4 inches so it is a good one.

Thanks, Debra! Yes, Dragonfly Tattoo is new for me this year.The bloom reminds me of Lady Dragon. Since three were blooming together, I wanted to get a shot. the Perseus Sandals X Jumping Jack Flash and the Leonard seedlings are all scaped up with tall scapes and and I will also get blooms on Bubblegum Queen this time. There are scapes everywhere and many of them are quite tall this time. Hooray!

The daylilies are nice to see but the climbing rose "Polka" is my favorite. Such a pretty color. I understand from friends that it is fragrant too.........Maryl

Your photo of Colorado Moon Fire shows exactly the color I remember getting. It was always very floriferous for me, and a good rebloomer. My mowers mowed it down so many times of the past two years that it died here.

Dragonfly Tatoo is a pretty one! They all look so good to me. Dumortieri has been blooming 2 or 3 weeks now and about finished, but the others are starting to scape so it won't be too long. My iris were early this year so looks like the daylilies will be too.
