We have had apple trees for 3 years. Every season, many of the new leaves quickly shrivel and turn dark (see pics). I've followed a recommended program using Dormant Oil off-season, and then Captain Jack's Fruit Tree spray. This year, I have been *much* heavier (almost weekly) with the Fruit Tree Spray, but no luck.

Does anyone recognize this issue, and have advice on how to treat?

I've also attached a 2nd picture of what look like sores or flaking off bark on some parts of the bark - not sure if this is related?
