Different Flooring in Upstairs Bedroom

Is is a design no-no to have a different color flooring in an upstairs bedroom? I have a split house with cherry stained wood on the first floor, the same in the living room 5 steps up, and in the landing and hallway on the 2nd floor (7steps up from the living room) the original red oak hardwood. The Master bedroom is the original red oak hardwood that is all scraped up and covered with beige wall to wall carpet.

I have fallen in love but with a much lighter tone that I would love to do in my bedroom. I was thinking of going over it with a light oak wide plank engineered wood red/pink undertones. I know that the flooring in a house should be consistent throughout, and this would be an outlier.

Thoughts, anyone?

This is what I have
