Oh I’m with what you would do normally. I would end the tile flush with the end of the upper cabinet. When you finally choose a wallcolor, you can stack up some of your tile and get an approximate idea of how it will look before installation, but I’m pretty that’s what I’d do. It’s personal preference, but I don’t love orphaned tile.

I would see how this would look in person. I would think not having a backsplash along the entire counter could lead to grime paint from wiping the corner, therefore I might make the stretch beyond the upper cabinet the same height as the splash under the window….i would want to rig up something that resembles this and see if it works…or not.
