My son almost stepped on this yesterdsy evening while locking up the chickens gfir the night. I am wondering if its a Southern Watersnake or a Cottonmouth? We have 3 ponds about a half acre away. Its been raining a lot in the last few days. So everything is soaked and there are puddles of water everywhere.

Thank you. I kinda thought that too although I know some FL Cottonmouths can be quite dark. Hopefully I have nothing to worry about then :)
