Saturday Seedlings

We got some pretty hard rain in the early morning house, so a couple of these seedlings were battered.

Core Values X Bowtie Affair is an evergreen seedling that I will be moving North. The bloom this time is bigger than the two previoius seasons - 7 inches on the first bloom - and two of the scapes have some lateral branching this year. It shows a variety of nice patterns, multiplies well, and usually has instant rebloom.

Stenciled Infusion X Royal Cypher has smaller blooms - 5 inches. It too has some lateral branching this time.

The seedlings are pretty with the raindrops. I like the pattern you are getting on the Core Values seedling. Are five inch seedling blooms going to make the suitcase cut???

Sherry - I prefer daylilies with blooms at least 6 inches, so very few, if any, 4 or 5 inchers will make the cut. Ones that are 5.5 inches or larger have a good chance if there's something special about them.

The Core Values seedling does have a nice pattern. And a large one at that! And a rebloomer! Sounds like a keeper!

Nice seedlings! The third one has rich coloring, but I like the pattern in the first one.
