I get it: I pay more attention to my seedlings too except for my very top favorites.

Seedlings are like a mother/father's children. Understandable why they get attention first.......Fighting Fire is my attention getter this time. I like the simple white edge and the bright red.............Maryl

Brad and Maryl - Fighting Fire is one of my favorite reds. It always reblooms here. I don't know if it will in Indianapolis.

Fighting Fire is always so pretty with that edge. I can see why it is a favorite. Busy Being Fabulous is striking in clump form. Blue Swallowtail will not bloom here this year-yes, bugs.

Kate - So sorry the bugs got your Blue Swallowtail! I like Blue Swallowtail even though it is a small 4.5 inch flower here, rather than 5.5 inches as registered.

I think Bill Norris being paired with Busy Being Fabulous would make a striking grouping in the garden. I'd also look for an orange colored daylily similar to the eye color of BBF. Nice pics Debra.

I saw the previous post of Busy Being. The bud count is not that terrible, but certainly is short this year. I see pictures of cultivars that people rave about (such as Pierces) that have worse bud count than that.

Julia - While I really like both Busy Being Fabulous and Bill Norris, I don't think I could take them being planted together. That's just too much gold at one time for me. I can see planting an orange or red orange nest to Busy. That would be pretty to me.

Mantis - The low bud count doesn't bother me on Busy, but the shortness does. Once I got it in the right place, it did multiply well.
