How much sun do they get? Mine are in full sun and bloom every year. I've never had a problem with Lycoris not blooming, even in part shade. How deep is the bulb planted? The top 1/4" of the bulb should be exposed.

Since you just say 'naked lady' which can be applied to quite a number of species (lycoris, amaryllis, etc), we are left to just guess which plant you're talking about.

In my experience with lycoris radiata, that one typically takes 4 or 5 years to get 'happy'. Dunno why really. Other species (of lycoris) I've grown settle in the 2 or 3rd year usually.
Habranthus and zephyranthes typically bloom the first year.

Embarrased to say I do not know the offical name. I am in Maryland and everyone just calls them naked lady, In spring the greens come up and are healthy but in fall, similar to autumn crocous, there should be a tall light colored stem with a pale pink flower on top. I have very healthy greens in the spring, but in the fall when my other fall crocous bloom, it does not. It is in full sun and I was thinking I should dig it up and reposition it. It might be planted to deep. I definitely do not see the top of the bulb. It has been in the bed for over 5 years.
