Correct.

We have 2 showers where the ceiling is tiled. One is sloped bc it was an expansion encroaching into a little bit of attic space so a portion of the shower ceiling is flat, but some of it sloped, following the roof-line. For that shower, the tiles were not huge or heavy so the tile pro didn't have to take extraordinary measures to support the tile as it set up.

The other one is built like a steam shower without the steam generator, all closed up with a sloped ceiling. For this one, the tiles were huge and really heavy, so extra measures were needed.

It's your choice if you want to tile it. But if you do be sure your tile pro is top-notch. It took 3 or 4 days for my tile pro to tile about 4 feet of ceiling in my "steam shower" because the tiles need to be supported for a day or two with each course of tile up there. He supported each course with extendable poles, let it all set up and then came back the next day or 2 to do the next course. This is bc the tiles were huge and you certainly don't want them to ever fall down.

I like to tile to the top of the wall and the ceiling in all my showers, so I vote for tiling the ceiling too.
