How to Repair This Walll?

Hi,

I am not handy at all. I tried to fix a spot an electrician made on the wall to add lighting in our kitchen.

I went to the hardware store and asked what to do, bought a wall repair kit, and tried to use the kit. I must have done something wrong because the sticky part of the wall repair kit came off and now the wall looks worse than it did before.

Does anyone know how to repair this?

The plastic cover was the patch. How to repair, cut out the drywall and add a drywall square, I do not know how to cover an access hole cover.

Hi,

Thank you so much for looking into this! I am lucky, someone came by and fixed it, they just used spackle and a putty knife, I thought I needed a repair kit. I appreciate you taking your time out, but it has been fixed now!

That problem got taken care of reallllly fast!

they just used spackle and a putty knife

I would have used a 'California' drywall patch--hopefully that is the method the fixer used.

No they just used spackle mud and a putty knife but so far it looks good! I’ll have to look that up and keep it in mind for the future though, thank you.
