I'm not one for posting, with or without photos, but I feel motivated today.

A few years ago, I inherited two peony plants when my late mother-in-law passed away. I don't know the cultivar names but one is white and the other is red. I suspect they are a common variety. The white has been in a good location but the red one was not so lucky, so now there is a big difference in size. The white has been divided twice. The second time around, I ended up with three large containers, plus three plants in the front yard. I gave away two of the containers, and the third is in the back yard in a pot on the deck. The top photo is the back yard one and the second photo is the one in the front yard. Last year I dug up the red one and got three plants out of it. Two of them bloomed, but the third is just a tiny thing that needs time to develop. I didn't get any photos of the red blooms.

My middle initials should be TMI, as I tend to be long-winded. Below is a FFE of an Asiatic lily I bought last fall. A few years ago I bought a "collection" of Asiatic lilies from Home Depot. Sadly, they turned out to pretty much all be the same variety, like the one in the first of the three photos above. That's not a good photo; the opposite side of the petals have the same color as the buds surrounding the flower. Never the less, I don't care for it much, so I decided to move most of them out and they are in pots in my driveway. When they bloom I will put then on Nextdoor and give them away. The photo just below is the first of their replacements to bloom.

One more Asiatic lily. I'm not sure when I got this one. It might be new, or the one I've had in a pot for about five years. Its flower out is completely unexpected.
