What a great bunch of blooms! What a great photo of Vanishing Mist. How good is your Primal Scream looking this season? Mine was great last season after languishing for a long time….just wondering.

It's always interesting to see what you have blooming. I'm glad you like Endless Beauty. I never cared for its splotchiness but I liked its color and edge. Sam Abell is blooming much earlier for you. It's not close to opening yet in my garden. Buddy's Black Eye and Billy the Kid are looking good. Thistles and Thorns is not blooming here yet, and I sure haven't seen it look as dark as yours. Vanishing Mist and Diamond Shores are pretty things. Coach's Magic Man has a few buds here, but the scapes are only 8-10 inches tall. I think grubs must have gotten to it. None of the buds have opened yet. I never saw Red Venom looking like your photo when it lived here. Are you sure that's what it is?

Nancy, so many pretties here. Thistles and Thorns really looks good. Vanishing Mist is pretty-so many of mine are splotchy. My Diamond Shores has not begun blooming. Velvet Eyes lives up to its name.

Julia, Thistles and Thorns is pictured on a cloudy day, but it is really dark and interesting. Really nice branching and bud count too.

Sherry, Primal Scream was down to 1 fan 3 years ago and I moved it to what I expected to be not much better spot. But it has taken off, and was good last year and even better this year. Orange is not my favorite color, tell me why I enjoy it so much in my garden? LOL.

Debra, this was a very damp morning with the rain, I am hoping Endless Beauty will look better soon, but who knows. I will use it for hybridizing at any rate. I don't like splotchiness, but it did have some very nice clear blooms last year and starting out better this year. Scapes on Coach's Magic man may be a bit taller here than 8", but very short this year. Never a tall one though. A shame, but I am putting its pollen on taller dark ones I have. I love the look of the flower, it is almost never splotchy. I went back to look at my Red Venom, and yes, that is a picture from it. It is a short scape and almost in the dark. why is it that 1st blooms are on the shortest scapes? At least here that seems to be. But yes, definitely Red Venom

Wow! So many of yours caught my eye. Red Venom with its deep maroon color got me to look it up. It was a Hensley. He really can produce some colors that get my attention....That picture of Butter Cream is like candy to a baby for a yellow lover like myself. Enticing............Vanishing Mist and Yoga Man round out just a couple more of the many lovely blooms you have shown in this group.............Maryl

Beautiful! Velvet Eyes caught my eye. I wish there were more red daylilies with black eyes. I also like Fiesta Latina. We grow it here and it is a blooming machine.

Yes, Fiesta Latina is great in the garden. Not good news on Magic Man. I don't like plants that take the year off. I always had a faux Thistles and Thorns from Northern Lights. Years later, discovered it was Spacecoast Sharptooth. Most of the pictures I've seen are also lighter. Will see if the season has affected colors. Thanks for showing this eclectic group.
