Nancy, we always seem to sit down at the same time to post!! That is another striking bloom from Bucklebury Ferry cross. I do like the soft coloring on the High Water Mark seedling.

I love the big eye and big edge on the Buckleberry Ferry seedling. Too bad it isn't more vigorous. Maybe it will show better plant habits in year three. High Water Mark X Rose F. Kennedy has a great watermark and pretty colors.

I too am caught by the Bucklebury Ferry seedling, I sure hope it improves for you. High Water Mark seedling is just the thing I love best, hope that gets better plant habits too.

The High Watermark seedling is lovely. Has tet RFK produced much in offspring?

Mantis, we have gotten some nice seedlings from Tet. Rose F. Kennedy, but none that have that big green throat. I will post some photos in another thread. Tet. Rose F. Kennedy was a terrible plant. We had it planted in two places and I think both died.

High Water Mark X Tet. Rose F. Kennedy is very nice.I love green throats. I grew High Water Mark (Davisson) in NYS and it was always tall, well budded and branching but not a daylily that would have multiple blooms open on a single scape at one time. Sometimes it was lighter in color and other times deeper. I've never grown Tet RFK but I've heard good and bad about its growth potential. Could possibly changing the RFK dip to tet causes some genetic issues?

How did I miss this? right off the top, I like High Water Mark X Tet. Rose F. Kennedy . That is such a pretty one and absolutely my pick and I know just where I would put it too.

Julia, many tet conversions have problems. Many of them aren't totally converted and will continues to produce dip or maybe even triploid as well as tet pollen. Most won't set seed well and many are unstable and will revert. We grow the diploid Rose F. Kennedy and it grows ok, but the tet version didn't want to grow for us--not even in the greenhouse in the winter.
