We're looking to redo our deck/patio and would love some ideas for the challenges the yard presents.

The current deck needs to go one way or another, but we're open to replacing with decking or patio.

Challenges:

2+ feet from patio door to ground level, it gets to about 2.7' as it gets closer to the road.

There is a busy(noisy) road and large downslope on the right side(when looking at the back of the house).

Sloped yard - There is a hill behind the house.

The AC unit is in the middle, would prefer not to move it because it is very old.

Goals:

Have enough space for two entertaining spaces table for 6 and fire area(not built in).

Have space for Blackstone Griddle & Big Green Egg

This is my first attempt. 70" for stairs because I am planning for 36" landing then 3 risers of 6" each. Behind that it will only go out about 6' into the yard. is 6' too narrow to do anything, what would we put there?

The 11.5' area next to the stairs I was thinking about putting the cooking things.

It just feels like we're going to end up with a very narrow space and I'm unsure how to best utilize it.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
