On my monitor, the wall color looks like a poor fit for the warm tile, countertop, and wood vanity. It gives the effect of unfinished--like your walls are primed and waiting for the actual paint. If you picked out a nice paper to coordinate with everything, maybe take a color from the paper to paint the walls.

I'm not a designer, but if feels like the pieces are each fine, but they don't relate to teach other yet. There is grey in the flooring, white in the shower curtain, pink in the art, oak in the vanity, and gold in the mirror frame - but nothing that unifies the color palette together yet. Perhaps a shower curtain and art work could tie things together?

Thanks. i agree, J. it changed a lot when i decided not to wallpaper. I've thought about simply just finding new prints with gold frames. the hooks I am ordering are brass with towels that have that red color but not sure its enough. i would have stayed with the silvers but that ship has sailed.

Yes, paint the vanity. When my house was built, I snatched those builder grade vanities out immediately and replaced them.

Thanks. still looking for art work that has some warm/gold elements and thinking of trying paint for the vanity to see if this helps. wishing i had changed it out but really wanted to save the money because we wont get it back in resale
