The Inimitable seedling and "Leonard" have never been shorter or had fewer buds. It seems everything I watered regularly was hit by grubs last year.

Maryl - This is the Pink Aloha seedling you've liked in the past.

Razor Sharp X SC Night Vision is the the parent of so many of my good purple seedlings with teeth.

This one is seedling "Leonard" crossed with the above seedling. It's very tall with a bud count in the mid teens. I wish it had a few more teeth.

This one has potential. It's (Razor Sharp X SC Night Vision) X Midnight Castle

Spacecoast Night Vision X Violet Victory - This one multiplies rapidly. Unfortunately most of the blooms are in the foliage.

Victorian Lace X Lace Sampler was taller than ever before (30 inches) and some scapes had bud counts in the mid teens this time.

Oh me! You and your grubs and me and my bugs! Maybe when you buy a new house, forego the house inspection and ask for a yard inspection!!! lol

Bugs got Memphis and EITV so I am glad to see yours. Dearest Mahogany is so pretty-I am sure a clump is striking. White Ambrosia has such a pretty form and I love the ruffles. The seedlings all look good-Beautiful photo of the Pink Extraordinaire seedling.

Rain Dances here has always been fairly short. Memphis this year is growing well, but is washed out with the heat. Mike D's intros I have found to be very mixed. He may be going in too many directions, and has also had health issues. So much work in hybridizing. I assume you got Hawking as a bonus. I am wary of paying a lot for an intro that may have been prematurely marketed. At least you probably won't have grubs in Indiana.

Mantis - I bought Hawking Radiation, and Mike sent me Dancing On My Own as the bonus. Neither is impressing me colorwise in the first year to bloom, and I haven't made any crosses with either one. Memphis here is tall, but not as well budded as in previous years.

Kate, your suggestion of a yard inspection makes sense to me. When we bought our current property we weren't growing daylilies. We love our location and house, but the soil leaves something to be desired.

Debra, I really like the Pink Extraordinaire X Sexy Samantha seedling. I also like the Leonard seedling--so dark-- and the Razor Sharp seedling.

It is too bad Pistil Whipped doesn't increase well. It is lovely. I really like that throat with the double rings of color around it. Tart with a Heart is blooming here now, but I suspect it will never like our climate. White Ambrosia is also lovely. I'm sorry those grubs are such a problem for you. Hopefully in Indy, there won't be any.

Linda Gluck looks so nice today. I have admired Soli Deo Gloria in the past but if my memory serves me right it has never been a good performer for you. I’m thinking Nancy?has it, any better for her? I really like the Leonard seedling, so lovely with that green throat. Love the photo with Mayor and Entwined.

Sherry - Nancy's Soli Deo Gloria died. It is not a good garden performer. Of the Emmerichs, Faith That Moves Mountains, Born to Reign and Royal Invitation are the best performers in my garden.

Updating to say White Ambrosia actually scaped on two fans, but both scapes were so short and never flowered at the same time, so I did not realize it until watering last night.

I've looked and looked again, but I'm missing the Pink Aloha seedling picture in your post. Am I blind as well as limpy?.........I'm glad I held off on Soli Deo Gloria. Seems to be just another pretty face for most. I have my Orchids and Gold for that. Besides some of your Razor Sharp seedlings are just as appealing to me. I'm not a purple fan, mainly because of how that color almost always looks in my garden (with rare exceptions like Mary's Baby). But I can and do enjoy them in others gardens. Your Pink Extraordinaire #4 purple certainly has all the bells and whistles I enjoy seeing..........Maryl

Can't pick a favorite as I like them all. White Ambrosia will hopefully do better in your home. Sweet Child of Mine looks to have many buds yet to open.

Julia - I don't know if White Ambrosia will survive in the north. It's an evergreen. Sweet Child of Mine just started blooming this week, so it will continue for awhile.

What a shme that Pistil Whipped doesn't do well for you. It is so pretty. Dearest Mahogany is gorgeous...so sorry it doesn't do well.. Mister Mayor and EITV are beautiful.

Leonard has put up a rebloom scape, Hooray! The Leonard Seedling is really pretty. Spacecoast Night Vision X Violet Victory is a lovely bloom; Too bad it likes the foliage.
