Thanks for the advice, Jan! Really appreciate it. I guess the reason I had looked at a chaise was that I work from home so was very much hoping to sit on the sofa and look outside at the backyard rather than the kitchen since I spend a few hours on it a day. Similar reasoning behind the bench/banquette but understand why not. Any suggestions? Thank you so much, really appreciated.

If you ask me? The chaise /couch /whatever? Should be e.l.i.m.i.n.a.t.e.d. as a seating category from the face of the planet.

There are other ways to put your feet up.
