Ceiling cup- other options

I'm in love with Secto pendants. I would like to install one in my dining room which has a sloped ceiling. Secto confirmed that their product is compatible with sloped ceilings but the ceiling cup shown above is 5" deep. I had my electrician rough in my electrical assuming the new light would hang straight down. Could I have the Secto rewired to use a standard plate at the ceiling? Any other options ?

No, the "5" refers to either the order of tasks one follows to install the fixture or a reference to instructional text, not shown. A U.S. electrical box 5" deep is not required to contain the three wires shown.

No, the diagram states the cup is 4.7" tall

"Cup" refers to the black or white item shown, not the depth of the electrical box in the ceiling. A U.S. ceiling electrical box is 4" in diameter and the cups are wider (4.8"/5.2") so they will cover the electrical box. The height of the cup is irrelevant.

(But the "5" in the diagram is still not a measurement.)
