Here are some suggestions:

I would fill in with higher things toward the middle and lower things toward the outside. Maybe crotons, minature palms and cycads toward the middle and then continue with those variegated gingers around the periphery, along with masses of Tradescantia spathacea ‘Stripe me Pink’ groundcover. You could probably fill that whole area up with different colored bromeliads.

Go to a good gardens (like Marie Selby) and take notes of what you like. Consider foliage colors for year-round interest.
