I would want that panel to go to the ceiling. The head board is fighting it. Since raising the panel all the way up may not be an option I might try using it as a head board and take what you have off. You need to decide on a style. The panel/barn door/6 panel door do not play together at all. All the white against that green is too stark. I would not add black side tables to the mix. The colors in your comforter may work with the panel color but the style does not. That panel screams formal as does your headboard but the rest is soooo casual. As I said we need to know what direction you are heading.

I am unable to change the paneling the most i can do is paint the remainder of the wall. pictures are also decieving as the color is a sage green (SW Green fog) im not really sure what direction to head in :/ furniture and comforter is the only thing i can change at this point. am im open to using that to make everrything more cohesive

@kazzh - are you able to send pics as an example? there are so many shades of natural wood, my hear is spinning

Try acy_gw's suggestion and remove the headboard and see how the bed looks against it. It’s cheap enough to buy some European size pillows and slips in different colors from maybe a sage green, or maybe a rust or blue from the bedspread to build up the bed. There are battery operated sconces you could try that would save on wiring in permanent sconces.

Some bedside ideas….a couple a little darker

Imo the curve of the headboard is fighting with the molding. I would replace the headboard and art above the molding.

Wallpaper above the bed paneling may be nice, change the bedding to be more neutral, add brass sconces or table lamps, warm medium brown tone nightstands and dresser.

@Slate Custom Interiors - do you have examples of wall papers i could use? and examples of night stands? do you think it will work without having to change my headboard?
