I need to replace this stairwell light fixture. I was leaning towards a shorter pendant but now considering simply putting a large recessed LED light to keep a clean look and no more worries to change bulbs. A hanging chandelier/fixture seems it would over power the space and be impractical when we move furniture up/down the stairs. Thoughts? Last photo is what I’m thinking of installing like we did in lower level hallway.
