Fo you mean counter depth, or built in? Not the dame. Kitchenaid or GE have well reviewed counter depth. But that is not a built in. which is not integrated. A factor of 7-10 difference between the two.

ajmadison.com is good for comparing the various brands.

What did the OP finally go with
    And what did Palimpsest choose?
We need a French door fridge for new house and it does need to be smaller—the island is closer than I would have placed it to the fridge…

Are you favoring any brands? We liked Frigidaire and it has several counter depth models

Look at Fisher-Paykel. I have a single door model, and friends have the French door.

I ordered a Frigidaire counter depth 4 door with external ice/water from Costco. Got a better price than Lowe’s or HD despite their sales AND there is a 90 day return with Costco. As I read reviews that seemed an important factor. Many people posted that their same fridges started having problems soon after delivery and none of the stores were great about returns after the model was in use. Costco also has a free 1 yr extension of mfg’s year warranty. And I bought the extended warranty from AllState—don’t think that is really that helpful based on reviews but with price saving it paid for itself. This is our model—

PS I know that a counter depth model is just too small for most homes with families but we are only a couple and will have smaller top freezer fridge in garage for overflow…this house we are moving into doesn’t really have space for standard fridge

Hunting to replace LG - about 12 years old from LG shrinked their compressors size for the french door design. My top of cabinet height is only 69” and need to leave a ”1 on top so I have to find a refrigerator that shorter than 68” to be safe. Cabinet open width is 35.5”. The manufactures have gone up in height to 70” and wider to near 36”! The local refrigerator repair guy told me to shop used appliances since they do not make that size anymore! He said everything is made for new home cabinet standards which is 72” height and 38” in width! The new refrigerators do not last more then 3-4 years either and have many problems especially with ice maker and compressor.

Our french door w xtra deli drawer has not been delivered but our daughter ordered a counter depth Frigidaire w just 3 doors (22.6 cuft) from Lowe’s. Delivered Fri 9/6
Compressor runs but does not cool
They havent moved in so didnt realized til checked Sun. She ordered online so no local sales person to complain too.
She said delivery crew initially brought in GE fridge and started to install when she caught mistake
    Hoping Costco is better
