Would it be possible to post a picture of your actual space? I’m finding it difficult to imagine all the different neutral values coordinating together, but a picture might clear it up for me.

What linen closet ?

I would not have two different colors or kinds of cabinetry in a bathroom. If there's room for a linen cabinet, isn't there room for a built in linen closet? I've always had a closet with shelves for linen storage. Can't your contractor frame out a narrow closet, add shelves to whatever arrangement you want (I have a open space below the bottom shelf for the trash can and plunger) and add a framed door?

Would definitely match the color of the vanity. If you cant find a linen storage piece in the color you want you should be able to remove one of the doors of the vanity, take it to a paint store and have it color matched. You can then hire someone to paint or d.i.y. Would try to find a line cabinet that is the same or as close to the same style as your vanity. Good luck!
