First we need pics and IMO the wall needs to be wall slats everywhere or no whaere not a change in the middle . Post pics of the plan and some of your space . Monochrome is not what you have BTW that would be all one color. In my head the white board for the TV will look really cheap .I need info posted here in jepg format in comments DO NOT start another post.

Neutral might be a better way to describe your color scheme. Without more information I don't know if this is going to help, but here's what someone else did. Even if you don't have a fireplace as part of the wall you're talking about, the slat color would probably work.

I love Blk and Wht but is really always needs something to rest the eye either color or the softness of wood .
