White sectional reads too yellow... Help please!

Today my new sectional arrived. BUT.... It reads as BM Marscapone AF-20 (yellow undertone), the ottoman reads as BM White Dove OC-17
( love that cool clean white) and my walls are 1/2 strength Para Paint SR-18 Jet Stream including trim. ( reads white with a hint of grey.)
I will need to get a much larger and lighter area carpet yet.
Fireplace sculptured tiles are not on yet.
Here is the problem : Do I keep the couch and then, how do I nuetralize the yellow factor. Or keep couch shopping. Can I makes this work somehow or am I better off to stay on the cool or nuetral side of white.
Most leather couches come either yellow white or very white, and I prefer something in the middle, like the ottoman (reads BM White Dove OC-17).
Recommendations will be most appreciated. Thank You.

Usually I find in my experience when you increase contrast (dark and light), the color "hue" tends to become less pronounced. So, I think if you added some strong contrast, for example, dark coffee curtains, you wouldn't be bothered by the mascarpone one bit. I think it's this in between stage that is throwing you off. The ottoman could use more contrast, reupholster in white/ brown cowhide? Larger, Lighter/ darker graphic rug will change the tone of things, too..

I used to drive myself crazy trying to find exactly what I wanted. Now I enjoy life more working with what is available. The sectional works vary well with the floor, so I would keep that and use it as a jumping off point.

As you said, you love the cool clean white of the ottoman and I don't think you will be happy unless the couch is that color. I would return the couch ... return to the store with the ottoman and find that brighter white that you want.

Thanks for your thoughtful response. What you may not be able to see from the pic, is that the floor actually has a very subtle pink undertone in the white tile, and I thought an area carpet separating the two might work.

The rug has to be way bigger than 8*10. Just sayin'. More like 13*9 minimum.

If the ottoman is not being used in that space (and lets hope it's not, cause that's a whole lotta white leather for one room), then I say keep the sofa. It looks vanilla to me, not "yellow", and it appears to be a good size for the room).

But if you really don't like it and the store's return policy allows for it, then return it and keep looking.

I think I will need a rug about 11' x 11' as the room is 16' x 17'6" and there is room for a chair or chaise in the opposite corner from the large picture on the wall. I can just tuck a few inches under the sofa feet and maybe 5" on either side. I think a lighter multi toned carpet with lots of texture would work. Thanks everyone for such great input.... Keep it coming! It all helps so very much.

I think the sofa is fine, except that it's next to the white ottoman. I would recover the ottoman to something non-white, that will coordinate with your new rug, and agree with Aggie Designs, rug should be larger.

Hello, If you decide to keep the sofa then work in a variety of white tones. You already have done that with your various whites and white grays- keep on playing with that theme. Best of luck.

I'd paint the tray ceiling above the couch a bold color, think hot pink or bold blue from your artwork. Mwhile you are admiring the ceiling have someone remove that ottoman because it is boxy and not matching the plush curvy couch. Put in some bold pouf table/ottoman things with a pattern with a color that matches the ceiling. Keep the couch!
