Shower fixture coordination?

I'm just about to implement this and am second guessing myself. Any advice?... For my large shower I'm planning to use Delta Cassidy fixtures including a matching Delta traditional grab bar for the hand held shower and above the niche.

My dilemma is with the grab bar I want to use on the long wall adjacent to the removable teak bench. It's a 54" Kohler Choreograph shower barre that also acts as a shelf. Practically speaking, I like it alot and the bar is easy to grasp. There is also an optional small teak tray that snaps onto it.

But is the style too different from the Delta Cassidy? The finishes aren't exact, but are close (Kohler is anodized brushed nickel, and Delta's brilliance stainless steel). Photos and diagrams are below, along with links to the 2 products.

I agree it does coordinate better but is not as decorative. It is what I had chosen in 48”. But my shower is only 60” so we decided that 36” was long enough. Your shower is large - have you considered a ledge that you could have on the showerhead wall? That would give you plenty of space for products. Here are a few examples.

You don’t want to use the matching Delta 42” traditional grab bar? i have relatives with the Choregraph bar and don’t love the look. Water stays on it since it is wider. It does have nice funtionality but I don't think it matches Cassidy. But choose based on what is important to you. We will be using Cassidy in our upcoming remodel. My husband vetoed the Choreograph after seeing it.

Also, Delta has a toilet paper holder that functions as a grab bar as well and coordinates OK with Cassidy if you are interested: model 41350.

Hi Pat, thanks so much. The reason not to use the 42” is because it is small; my shower wall is 78”. I don’t want/need the bar extending into the teak bench space, so 54” seemed perfect. It also would allow for products closer to the main showerhead. I wasn’t planning on a second niche… ugh I thought I had this sorted out.

Pat This one may coordinate better, do you think? It comes in 54" as well as 36" and 24", so if I did that, all bars within the shower would match. Bummer it's not as decorative though; and I'm not sure what I would do for having products closer to the main shower head. You don't need it that long. Unless you have a really serious balance problem.

It's preference , but I see no reason for a niche. Two or three solid surface/(match to your counter top or tile) corner shelves is easier, less prone to design fault and leaks. At 12" on both walls, you get plenty of room.

Then do the 42 inch grab bar match.

There will only be 13" on both sides with no "bar": )

Your arm is longer, and it will look better and centered under niche.....

Make sure you have a tile PRO. A really good one..

I don’t know how how high your pony wall is but you could have a ledge at the same height. Our pony wall is at the opposite end and wall and ledge will be 48”.

You guys are the best! @Jan Moyer, what do you mean by 'At 12" on both walls'? Are you indicating one corner shelf on each end of the long wall, @12" high? I also don't understand this... I think there may be a typo but can't tell, because I believe you had said another niche wasn't needed: "Your arm is longer, and it will look better and centered under niche....." Thanks for clarifying. Your guidance is wonderful.

@Pat, so nice that you went through something similar with this Delta product and are here to tell about it. Your photos are great, and JFYI my pony wall is 48" high also. I would think that adding a ledge under the shower head would be feasible (the wall is framed but not prepared for tile yet).
