Tv built in with large tv

Hi, my husband and I are looking to redesign our living room entertainment area.

We like the inspo pictures here, with the popped out entertain frame, and fireplace. However our current TV is 76.5 inches wide and 43.75 inches tall. Our actual wall space for the area is 141” wide by 9 ’ tall.

If we wanted to do something with closed cabinets is this TV just too large? Would it look weird if we put 24 to 29 inches of cabinets on either side? Any ideas or inspiration is welcome! Thank you in advance.

ps. we are open to small tv but the room is open concept so kitchen to livingroom is ~31feet long.

Grab some graph paper and a pencil and sketch it out.

We nneeda a to scale wall plan and the TV actual size feom side to side and what FP you are planning.

I designed this built-in for our 75" Samsung The Frame TV. TV placement is not symmetrical on the wall, so I have one shelf unit on 1 side and 2 on the other. The whole built-in is 16 ft wide x 10' 4" tall.

Lots of examples on Houzz photos. Just design what works for you and not what some strangers on the internet tell you they like or don't like!

I wanted shelving space for displaying things I had collected from travels and family. Also have some closed storage and we keep board games in there.

What doesn't look right, is when the TV is larger than the cabinets or fireplace below it, as it makes the TV area look top heavy, so think about that as you design the wall.
