You don’t say how long it has been since these plants were last re-potted Is the stem between the leaves and soil very long? They may need to be re-potted, deeper, in fresh media. If potting them deeper requires that you cut off the root ball, you need to scrape the stem, where you need new roots to grow, and pot it deeper. put it under a dome, or in a plastic bag, to maintain humidity while it grows new roots. Similarly, if the plants are wobbly because the roots have failed, remove enough leaves to expose healthy stem and re-pot as above.

I found watching ”All About African Violets” to be very helpful in learning how to keep my plants going.

It's hard to remember which plant is which, but I think the two problem children have never been repotted! I started one (as an experiment) from a single leaf that accidentally broke off. The other got broken off at the base, and I rerooted it in water, then replanted it in soil.

Whatever happened, neither one has a long leafless stem at the bottom... just a stem that seems too skinny to support the weight of the plant.

I don't think either one is a case of root failure either. The stem simply didn't thicken enough to support the plant as it grew
