Pale Oak can flash purple, which is what is happening here (you can see it in the very far right of your last pic, the cabinet/doorway area)

i thought pic number 3 was BEFORE and the top or first was todays. pull yourself back from the space and take a few more..it appears very little wall space is what you are talking about. the wall color in pic one has more relationship with island being cool dark green. or black? so again..how much wall..what angle is most noticeable..is it really that bad?

Pic 3 is before painting! Pic 1 is from today….the island is dark navy almost black. It was cloudy and rainy today so will go back tomorrow in daylight

Well, okay...I still see the violet in pic 3 regardless...

So looking at pic 1, I don't like the Pale Oak with the cabinets, either -- I don't see violet, but I see gray against yellow which IMO doesn't look good.

Sorry but i think its fine…you are still in progress and the tendency to scrutinize one thing right now is normal but i think it all looks good. kitchen will be wonderful it appears.

It’s always tricky trying to recommend colors online, but here’s my observation. Your cabinet color looks a lot like SW Roman Column which is a frank cream with yellow undertones.

Beige might be a better option for you than a grey because there is a fair amount of yellow in your cabinet color. Beige options that may work include Panda White and Wool Skein.

This is Edgecomb Grey. For me it’s not a great choice because its undertones are more pink than yellow. But you can buy the sample and see it in your space.

Have you thought about a color, rather than a beige, or gray. Maybe a very light sage green, or some other color that you really like. I agreee, the pale oak is all wrong, but, so it the agreeable gray, and edgecomb Gray.

My usual suggestion, anything that's not gray, black, any flavor of beige, or white. Kitchens are a great place to use bright colots and break out of the blah and boring we've been suffering through for the last couple of decades.

I agree your current color isn't working. I'd paint the wall the same or nearly same color as the cabinets. It does wonders for opening up a room. Especially when you have so little wall space to paint, a color other than the cabinets gives a bit of a jigsaw puzzle or Tetris look, which isn't great.

Get a good BM color deck and see what is a near match. Or take a door or drawer to your paints store and ask for them to color match it. The wall and cabinet are never going to look exactly the same because they are different materials and coatings, but close is good enough.

I'd try BM linen white or Farrow and Ball white tie.

If you want walls that are similar in depth to your cabinets, your BEST bet is to paint your walls the same color as your cabinets. Or ask the paint store to mix it up 50% darker for a subtle tone-on-tone look.

The gray doesn’t work because it looks like your cabinets lean warm - gray is too cool.

I like the suggestion from Kylie and Kendrah - get a match to your cabinets and go down one color the next darkest paint. It will be perfect.
