Flooring Design Dilemma Kitchens

Looking for a Cork Glue Down Tile Installer

Hi, I'm moving into an old 1900 house and am looking at having a cork floor in my kitchen. I'm usually a DIY but after re-doing the hardwood floors, striping, standing, caulking and glazing the outside windows, painting the kitchen I'm just tired and want someone else to tackle this project. I'm in near Hudson NY. The current floor has a cheap linoleum floor which I believe is glued down. I imagine due to the age of the house there are wood floors beneath.

I've reached out to Forbo but never heard back. Any ideas?

From Thumbtack (there wasn't a Cork floor option so I chose "Solid wood" as shown in the left-hand menu).

Wherever you buy the flooring should have an installer they use and IMO the best choice so that any issues are dealt with at one place . I would not touch the linoleum since in old houses it often contains asbestos so best to just go over it or you will spend carzy money or remediation and if not touched no need .

Cork fades really rapidly to an orange color. You might want to think how that is going to coordinate with everything else.
